Things I haven’t tried yet but I’m willing to test in the coming weeks: yogurt, jam, perfect egg, steamed eggs, slow-cooking. I really like Moulinex customer services around the companion – website, online shop, user forum and so on. I thoroughly enjoyed having both machines on my bench despite the mess. For small quantities of certain ingredients, the food stays more at the bottom than in the Magimix bowl. I have tried the small food processor for various things and it works well for dukkah, spices, hummus etc… but won’t work at all for beverages (or salad dressings) since there’s the problem of the liquid spilling over to the other two bigger bowls. That being said, I use my Magimix for millions of other things and I truly use it every single day. Since I’ve seen Chef Adrian Richardson in person do a magnificent Thai sauce in the small bowl it’s all I use. Thank you for your comment Sandy. I have had a Thermomix for around 7 years – first the TM31 and now the TM5. If you have a very delicate ingredient or preparation you can set the speed to zero. Then I went to France, where those machines are cheaper than here in Sydney, thinking I was going to know what to buy when I’d be standing in my fav store “Le Printemps”.
